High-voltage FPCB is not always the right starting point. Review these four conditions before requesting samples or committing to a circuit design.
Your market requires 110V / 220V LED strip products
Mains-voltage strip is standard in many markets including North America, Europe, and parts of the Middle East. If your customers expect direct-drive strip without a driver, high-voltage FPCB is the starting point.
You need longer strip runs or larger cutting units
High-voltage designs support longer continuous runs with fewer connection points. Cutting units of 20 cm to 100 cm are common, reducing installation waste for your end customers.
You want to reduce low-voltage power supply limitations
Eliminating the driver reduces BOM cost, installation complexity, and failure points. High-voltage FPCB moves the voltage conversion upstream into the circuit design itself.
You need circuit review before sampling, SMT, extrusion, or encapsulation
High-voltage designs require careful resistor matching, insulation planning, and pad layout verification. A production-fit engineering review before sampling prevents costly rework downstream.
